A CHANGE IN DESTINY
MARK1:17a; Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you..”. (NKJV)
Jesus, to many Christians today is called by so many wonderful names depending on the circumstances you are trusting him for, the following story describes and decorates Him as a destiny changer.
Acts 9:1-6 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads” So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” (NKJV)
A journey began to Ananias’s house, Paul’s eyes were restored and Jesus gave him, a new mandate, a new perspective and a new movement was given birth to. The same man that once consented to the stoning of Stephen an Apostle of the Gospel; the same man every Christian at the time was avoiding, a terror of the gospel of Christ, became the same person that has taken a stand for God and to propagate the gospel of Christ and he was not ashamed of it.
It’s possible you are on a path leading to destruction, a path contrary to the will of God for your life, you might know this and you might not. Present your life and your plans before Jesus, yield yourself to Him and He will order your steps aright.
Psalm 17:5 Uphold my steps in your paths, That my footsteps may not slip. (NKJV)
• Oh lord, if I am on the wrong path; redirect me by your mercy.
• Oh lord, align my will with your will.
Ponder on this
Any route you take that God isnt leading you on will always lead to the wrong destination.
It’s my prayer that you will discover who God made you to be, you won’t miss it in life and destiny in Jesus name.
